Anomalous anisotropy of the lower critical field and Meissner effect in <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mml:msub><mml:mi>UTe</mml:mi><mml:mn>2</mml:mn></mml:msub></mml:math>

We report on low-temperature susceptibility and magnetization measurements made single crystals of the recently discovered heavy-fermion superconductor ${\mathrm{UTe}}_{2}$ compare results with two ambient pressure ferromagnetic superconductors URhGe UCoGe. Hysteresis curves in superconducting phase show a familiar diamond shape superimposed large paramagnetic background. The Meissner state was measured by zero-field cooling small fields few Oe as well ac resulted 100% shielding, sharp transition. However, field-cooling Meissner-Ochsenfeld effect (expulsion flux) negligible greater than just Oe, but becomes nearly 30% perfect diamagnetic signal when field reduced to 0.01 Oe. critical current due flux pinning studied techniques. Over range temperature this study, no signature transition could be discerned. lower ${H}_{\mathrm{c}1}$ has been along three crystallographic axes, surprisingly, anisotropy contradicts that upper field. discuss discrepancy it may provide additional support for magnetic field-dependent pairing mediated fluctuations ${\mathrm{UTe}}_{2}$.
